There were few comments on this option. One

Member considered that the amendments would affect

all criminal cases and that a potential witness might

be reluctant to give evidence for fear of later making a contradictory statement, however innocently.

Societies Ordinance (to create realistic

secret, on oath and in the absence of the accused
