review, the opportunity of being heard and, in relation to
any such appeal or review, may give directions to the
Authority with respect to the exercise by him of any of his
functions under this Ordinance and the Authority shall
comply with such directions.
25. Part VIII is miscellaneous and comprises clauses
30 to 38 and provides for offences; inspection and
enforcement; the official censorship mark; risk and expense
relating to the submission of film and advertising material
for censorship; delegation of powers; the making of
regulations; transitional matters and consequential
amendments.
25. Clause 30 makes it an offence punishable, upon
first conviction, by a fine of $10,000 and upon second or
subsequent conviction, by a fine of $50,000 and
imprisonment for 1 year, for an exhibitor to exhibit any
film to persons under 18 years of age, that has been
classified under clause 12 as approved for exhibition only
to persons who have attained the age of 18 years. It is a
defence that a person charged took all reasonable
precautions before exhibiting the film to prevent the
exhibition of the film to persons under the age of 18
years..
