Members are invited to advise whether the publication assessor scheme and the attendant proposals as described in paragraphs 7-34 should be approved in principle and if So whether amendments to the Objectionable Publications Ordinance (Chapter 150) and consequential amendments to the Magistrates Ordinance (Chapter 227) should now be prepared for the consideration of the Council.
(The Secretary for Administrative Services and Information, Mr Peter K.Y. TSAO, the Registrar Supreme Court, Mr N.J. BARNETT, the Assistant to Attorney General, Mr W.R. MARSHALL, and the Principal Assistant Secretary for Administrative Services and Information, Mr LEE Kai-fat, will attend before the Council for the discussion of this item.)
