We have more than 50 minorities, it is not

restricted to Han people.

Could I for example be a Chinese national under

any circumstances.

If you want to apply you can. You can naturalise.

What are the chances of an application succeeding.

According to law not much problem since you have

lived a long time in Hong Kong, it should not be

difficult. But it is a precondition if you want

citizenship you have to give up the other citizenship.

What about others who have lived in Hong Kong for

generations who are not Chinese.

This question is also a problem because for example some have lived for generations in Macau. If they wished to apply they will be considered but not

automatic.

Will Chinese spouses of non-Chinese be regarded as Chinese nationals or foreign people.

If they are holding a foreign passport they will be

regarded as foreign nationals.

So you can see the problem works both ways. Some

that are in want out, some that are out want in.

Use of English and English education.
