To keep under review the existing training policies and to recommend changes where necessary to meet the needs of the civil service.
Latest Position
The first meeting of the Staff Management Development Group was held on 30 May 1986 with the theme of "Managing Staff Performance". Six Heads of Departments (DUS, DMHS, D of H, DRS, D of E, DED) met with SCS and had a broad ranging discussion which all agreed was extremely useful. The next meeting is set tentatively in early August and the issue of resource management will be discussed,
Two seminars for Directorate officers were held in June as part of a series of seminars on management topics.
The
Renovation work at CSTC to accommodate the Computer Education Centre has commenced. Centre is expected to be functional in August 1986 when the installation of the micro-computers is completed. A team of CSTC officers will be trained to run the Centre.
