4. With effect 1 April 1986 the boundaries of the
jurisdiction of the Urban Council will be amended to
correspond with District Board boundaries. This new
area, called the Urban Council area, requires
consequential amendments to the principal Ordinance
and its subsidiary Legislation. This is done in the
Second Schedule to the Bill. The regulations made by
Governor in Council for the remainder of Hong Kong are
similarly amended to apply to the Regional Council
area.

Clause 10 amends section 104E(1)(e) of the
principal Ordinance to provide that the Director of
Marine will be the Authority under that Ordinance for
all ferry terminals under his responsibility rather
than just the Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal as at
present.
6. There are no Public Service staffing or
financial implications.
