Invited the High Commissioner to pursue a personnel policy which emphasized the broadest possible geographical representation of States based on the highest standards of competence and integrity;

(b) Urged the High Commissioner to take special measures to increase the number of women in the professional and higher categories and at policy-making levels and to report on this matter to the Executive Committee;

(c) Expressed support for the maintenance of the principle and practices of

staff rotation;

(a) Invited the High Commissioner to take all possible measures within the spirit of the Revolving Fund to improve conditions of service for staff at difficult field duty stations, and to report to members of the Executive Committee in this respect; and to make proposals to the Executive Committee, for further improvements.

Decision on the rules of procedure

132. The Executive Committee,

Having considered document A/AC.96/679 and Corr.l proposing amendments to the rules of procedure in order to reconcile them with current practice,

(a) Adopts the proposed amendments;

(b)

Requests the High Commissioner to issue the rules of procedure, duly amended, in all the official languages of the Committee.
