Zaire

has alleged that refugees from Tanzania are regularly crossing

the lake to cause trouble in Zaire. Lately the relationship between Zaire and Tanzania has been improving and Tanzania has agreed to move the Zairean refugees on the lakeshore away from the border. How, when and to where they will be moved has yet to be decided but Home Affairs has this year budgeted to begin

research on the numbers involved and plans for resettlement. As these refugees are almost all fishermen they will need to be relocated by another lake.
