On vocational training, OXFAM supports moves to put more programmes on a commercial footing.

Moves to concentrate on teaching functional English are supported.

The present Government's has three serious faults:-
policy on refugees
it denies a role for the family,
it includes lack of education as part of the 'humane deterrent',
the lack of a time limit on how long a refugee can stay in a closed camp leads to frustration and despair.
