Thank you for your letter of 13 June 1986.
I agree that you should not broach this subject with the MFA. If they come here we shall be happy to see them. But we do not seek the pleasure!
So far, voluntary departure cases are down on last year. We hope that this is due to our approaches to the Chinese, who have taken action. But we will continue to monitor the situation carefully.
We are grateful for your help and appreciate how much is involved in attending meetings with Beyer!
