1. I attach a copy of HKGO Brussels reply to an enquiry addressed to them from Hong Kong, in the same terms as Hong Kong tel po to Brussels (already copied to you).

In the meantime, Schokkaert in the MFA had told me (again in confidence until officially confirmed), that he believed all the 50 would be from Hong Kong, and separate from the specific family reunion cases which we have already communicated to the Belgians. But he was vague on further details.
3. We therefore propose not to muddy the waters further by a separate reply to Hong Kong now, but will probe Schokkaert again in a couple of weeks, preferably jointly with French of HKGO (Brussels).
