Translation of letter to Mr Guyaux

P.3

60

In reply to your letters of 19 March and 26 April 1986, I am pleased to be able to inform you that I have decided to grant on the one hand 30 visas 20 for adults and 10 for children from ten to twelve years of age. refugees rescued from the South China sea by the ship ap Anamur 2 and on the other hand 29 visas for boat people at present living in camps in HK and who all have fenily melations in Belgium in derogation of the principle of family reunion (please refer to my telex E553, paza 2).

2.

However, given that there are no available funds for the reception of these refugees, that their means of existence are not guaranteed and that they risk becoming a burden on the social security system (CFAS) the grassing of these visas will be dependent on an assumption of responsin signed by a financially solvent individual, valid as leau.

Dhe time when those in question are able to provide
