supporters of the resistance against Indonesia rule of
Iran Jay have crossed into Papua New Guinea. The PNG
Government have deported a few small groups, some of whom
have been harshly treated, even executed, by the
Indonesian authorities. The PNG Government has
introduced tougher measures such as relocating the border
crossers in new camps further away from the border zone
and tightening control over the activities of Iran Jaye
separatists.

Ethipians in Djibouti. The Djibouti government is
reported to have withdrawn refugee status from 17,000
Ethiopian refugees in Djibouti. Assistance will be given
to those who accept voluntary repatriation; assistance
even with resettlement will be denied to those who appeal
to be allowed to stay in Djibouti.
