Notice of Conditions of Stay

Fursuant to Section 13A(2)(b) of the Immigration Ordinance, the permission given to you to remain in Hong Kong as a refugee is subject to the following conditions :-
(1) that you remain temporarily in Hong Kong as a refugee

until departure for resettlement overseas, or until such date as may be specified by an Immigration Officer.
subject to the Conditions of Stay to which every Vietnamese refugee is subject under Section 13A(3) of the Immigration Ordinance that, if an offer of resettlement overseas is made to you, you shall not without reasonable excuse fail or refuse to accept the offer nor to comply with any requirement necessary for the completion of the resettlement procedure, and,
if you are required by an immigration officer to surrender the Vietnamese refugee card held by you, you shall not without reasonable excuse fail or refuse the surrender forthwith the Vietnamese refugee card.
that you shall reside in Kai Tak Transit Centre, a refugee centre specified by an immigration officer and shall comply with the refugee centre rules.
that you shall not establish or join in any business, or become a student at a school, university or other educational institution.
Where the Director of Immigration is satisfied that a Vietnamese refugee has contravened any condition of stay in force in respect of him, the Director may under Section 13A(6) of the Immigration Ordinance issue a warrant authorising the detention of such person in a refugee centre designated by the Secretary for Security under Section 13C.
