DENMARK

At the UNHCR resettlement meeting in Geneva in January the Danish representative indicated that Denmark's quota of 250 refugees

for 1986 would be directed mainly towards Indo-Chinese and

"non-Bahai" Iranians The Danish Government is considering a list

of 25 family reunion cases in Hong Kong and has indicated that it

would welcome UNHCR advice on these.

FINLAND

The Finnish representative at last month's UNHCR resettlement

meeting announced a mission to Hong Kong and Indonesia

in February

Finland's 1987 regional quota of 100, which

would seek to fill

includes 10 disabled cases.

FRANCE

French Ministers

and senior officials have been pessimistic

about accepting more refugees, but have agreed to examine family

reunion cases to be submitted through the French Consulate- -General

in Hong Kong.

FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF GERMANY

The Federal Government

is unable to respond quickly on refugee

matters, which are within the competence of the Länder. The latter

have agreed that 32 Hong Kong family reunion cases could be

considered out of a much larger number submitted by UNHCR. Of the
