Over the past years, Darlac has obtained important succopren in agricultural production. The area under intensive cultivation. of wet rice has expanded from 2,000 ha to 17,000 ha thunks to the now Irrigation works.
But the food problem romaine to be solved if the province is to develop quickly its most valuable industrial cropa fór export, i.e. coffee and rubber. The Joint Vietnam-GDR Coffe Enterprise which is looking after 5,000 ha is regurded an a project of special importance for Darlac.
To moot the demand of social-economic development of the province, in the coming five yeɛra, more than 267,000 workhands are ncoded of which 240,000 will be sent from the delta provinces./.
