accept family reunion and its implications for Hong Kong;

to advise whether, as

a result of the additional resettlement places received as a result of HMG's initiative, Hong Kong should begin to accept 20 ethnic Chinese refugees for resettlement each month up to a maximum of 250 on the basis of the criteria set out in paragraph 22 above.

(The Secretary for Security, Mr D.G. JEAFFRESON, and the Director of Immigration, Mr A.J. CARTER, will attend before the Council for the discussion of this item.)
