THE ANNUAL REFUGEE PLAN

government has analyses, and regional considerations, that it is appropriate to increase the total of government-assisted refugees in 1986 by 1,000 places to a total of 12,000. This is the second consecutive year that an increment of this magnitude has been introduced. The estimated intake of up to 4,000 privately sponsored refugees in 1986 will be in addition to the government-assisted portion, for a total of 16,000.
