HONG KÔNG: UK RATIFICATION OF ILO CONVENTION NO 23
1. We spoke about Hong Kong telegram 1088 of 14 April.

This refers to the UK ratification of ILO convention 23 about which we wrote to all the Dependent Territories in July last year. A copy of our letter to Hong Kong and Mr Myhill's reply of 7 January are attached. You kindly agreed to advise on how we should reply to Hong Kong's telegram.

We also wrote about another ILO convention, 126, which the UK ratified and on which we again asked the Dependent Territories, including Hong Kong, whether they wished to ratify it as well. We are still awaiting a reply; a copy of our letter is attached.
