DECLASSIFICATION OF HONG KONG LOW FLYING CHART

I enclose a copy of a letter from the Hong Kong Political Adviser's Office, dated 19 November.

Hong Kong's proposal to declassify a suitably "sanitised" version of the chart looks sensible to me, given:
CRAF/Hong Kong's agreement, and

(b)
the peculiar

that difficulties

face in
Hong Kong's few unique Hong Kong's
civilian fliers geographical and physical circumstances.
I
should
like therefore
to
agree
to
this
proposal,
if
possible. Mr Fifoot, HKD's Legal Adviser, has suggested that MOD should
be consulted (this I am now doing separately), and that MAED's Legal Adviser should be consulted regarding the question of Hong Kong's maritime boundary (the "square box").
