services will be buses although
for the whole of Phase I, provided predominantly by these may be augmented by limited ferry services if there is sufficient demand;
the bus services will connect Junk Bay with various parts of
Kowloon, including a bus-rail interchange at Lam Tin station which will be built as part of the Eastern Harbour Crossing (EHC) rail link, and possibly with Hong Kong Island through the EHC road tunnel; and
Mass
(c) depending on traffic loads on the principal
access tunnel, assessments by the Transit Railway Corporation and comparisons with other strategic options, it may ultimately be appropriate to provide a mass transit rail link between Junk Bay and Kwun Tong.
Other studies

A study is in hand of the short, medium and long-term traffic and transport requirements of the East Kowloon region as a whole which take into account the future development of Junk Bay, Cha Kwo Ling and Lam Tin.
