The Danish Seamen's Church, Hong Kong has at our disposal the following facilities in Hong Kong: an office in Mariners' Club, Middle Road, Kowloon, a flat to the Danish chaplain in the same building and a reading room/ sitting room in Mariners' Club, Container Port Road, Kwai Chung, together with a flat for the Danish assistant. All Danish seafarers are natually invited to use all the facilities in the two Clubs. Especially is the Club in the Container Port Road of Kwai Chung of great importance to the Danish seafarers, as they here can make use of the Clubs restaurant, T.V. room, church, "Danish Room", bar, overseas telephone booth, barber, doctor and dentist. Club is situated within 10 minutes walk from almost all the Danish ships berthing in Hong Kong.

In 1984 353 Danish ships arrived in Hong Kong. All the ships were visited, if possible, by the assistant or the chaplain and the crews were invited to use the service offered by the Seamen's Church and to use the facilities in Mariners' Club. Danish newspapers and magazines were distributed along with maps and informations about Hong Kong, and as much time as possible was spent on board in order to create opportunity for fellowship and conversation with crew members. A ship visit often resulted in requests for shopping or other errands for individuals or for the shipsclub. A few sightseeing tours have been arranged.
Seafarers and Danish residents have been invited to church service every second Sunday. There has been arranged "Danish Evenings" in Danish Room in Kwai Chung. In November we had our annual bazaar.
