THIS SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT made on the 12th day
1984 is supplemental to an Agreement (here-
inafter called "the Agreement") made on the 30th day of August 1978 between the Government Of Hong Kong (hereinafter called the "HK Government") of the one part and the Government of the United Kingdom (hereinafter called the "UK Government") of the other part.
The UK Government has agreed that the Railway Inspectorate (hereinafter called "the Inspectorate") shall perform the duties more particularly set out in the First Schedule to the Agreement in respect of the Mass Transit Railway on behalf of the HK Government upon payment of the fees and monies more particularly set out in the Second Schedule to the Agreement.
Now It is Hereby Agreed as follows :-
The Second Schedule to the Agreement is amended by the addition of the following two clauses :-
6: Payment for all work carried out in countries
other than the United Kingdom and Hong Kong by the Inspectorate in performance of any of the said duties shall be based on the daily rates given in Clause 4 of this Schedule and will also be subject to amendment from time to time in accordance with the rates notified by the UK Government.
7: In addition to the said daily rates, the
HK Government will bear the cost of :-

subsistence whilst outside the United Kingdom;
