Dear Sir,
I refer to the Gazette Notice which proposes to close temporarily a section of Cleverly Street between Des Voeux Road Central and Connaught Road Central (F... Item c. 285H) where our shop is situated. Should uns works be carried out, there will be clouds of dust which will cause serious damage to the flowers and plants sold in our shop. Moreover, the rumble of machines and heaps of mud will force pedestrians and customers to make a detour, resulting in a decrease in our turnover. Normally supply of merchandise is delivered to our shop by lorries but after the proposed closure, we will have to engage additional employees for the purchase of merchandise, thus increasing the cost of our business. Besides raising objection to the proposed works, we would like to demand compensation for the decrease in our turnover.
