Proposed Closure of Cleverly Street between

Des Voeux Road Central and Connaught Road Central

With reference to the above matter and in response to the Notice under Section 8 (2) of the Roads (Works, Use and Compensation) Ordinance dated 20th July 1985, copy attached for your ease of reference, we wish to object the proposed temporary closure of Cleverly Street.

We, Lau Sun-Mo Esq. and Madam Chan Oi-King Noemie trading as Tin Wah Photo Service Centre, are tenants of a written tenancy agreement dated 9th March 1985 made between Chan Oi-Kwan and Siu Ying Chan alias Chang Siu Ying of the one part and ourselves of the other part for a term of two years from 9th April 1985 to 3th April 1987 at a rertal of $16,000.00 per month with an option to renew for a further year at the rental of $20,000.00 per month of the premises known as all that flat C on the ground floor of the building known as Champion Building at nos.287-291 Des Voeux Road Central and no.144 Connaught Road Central (also designated as Flat C on the ground floor of no.1-B Cleverly Street) erected on all those pieces or parcels of ground registered in the Land Office as Inland Lot Nos. 2148,2145, 2144 and Marine Lot No.339 (hereinafter called "the said premises") and are carrying on the business of photo production servicing, sale of photographic equipments and related accessories and electrical and audio equipments.

Our said business commenced at the said premises on 9th April 1985 and profits have been increasing since. We expanded a sum of roughly $150,000.00 on decoration and renovation of the said premises. With the closure of Cleverly Street, albeit temporary, nevertheless lasting for months and
