With regard to the conditions attached to your withdrawal
of objection, my advice is as follows :-
(i)
provision of a lay-bye along the eastern boundary of Causeway Centre.
The provision of this lay-bye is not related
to nor affected by the proposed footbridge,
and it is not therefore considered to be
2 valid condition to be attached to the footbridge scheme.
(ii) right to erect directional signage for
SHK Centre shops and restaurants on the new footbridge or on the existing bridge link between SK Centre and Causeway Centre immediately opposite the end of the new footbridge.
It is not the practice to allow the erection of directional signs to commercial establishments on Government footbridges. The existing bridge link between SHK Centre and the Causeway Centre is not Government property, and therefore no right to erect signage on this link can be given.
