We act for Jenny & Edward Cheung Securities Ltd the registered owner of Shop F, the whole of the 1st and 2nd floors of City Centre Building, 144-149 Gloucester Road (junction with Stewart Road). The said property is now rented to Flower Lounge Restaurant
We are instructed by our client to oppose the proposed foot bridge crossing on the following grounds :-

Our client's tenant has indicated that as the said structure will seriously affect the flow of motor traffic (as it will narrowed the existing Stewart Road by one/third) making it difficult for customers' access by cars to the restaulant especially when alighting from cars, our client's tenant might consider to terminate the tenancy.
The value of the property will certainly be affected as a result of the narrowing of Stewart Road and the existence
of the proposed structure facing the frontage of the said property
The existence of the said structure will seriously affect the outlook and class of the area and likely to make it difficult for our client to rent out the said property for restaurant purpose or a drop in the existing rent.
There is in existence another foot bridge with access to Stewart Road less than 20ft from the proposed foot bridge.
We shall be obliged if you will take notice of our client's objection and to notify us of any development.
