of Connaught Road and Ancillary Roadworks Pedder Street Underpass

We act for Po Sang Bank Limited, the owner of the basement and tenant of the ground floor shops B, C1-C3, Y1 and the whole of the 1st floor of Wing On House. We also act for Mei Woo Shun Company Limited the owner of the ground floor Shops B, C1-C3, Yl and the 1st floor of Wing On House.

We are instructed by our clients to object to both the works and use of that part of the roadworks set out in Gazette Notice No.3420 of 1985 as item (h), namely the footbridge across Connaught Road Central and Pottinger Street.

The main grounds of our clients' objection are:-

It would cause a diminution in the value and rental value of the premises affected by it. The premises so affected would be those on the first floor and ground floor of the said property. Our clients as owners and/or occupiers of these premises would suffer directly as a result of the construction.

The above diminution in value would arise because the

premises on the ground on 1st floors of the said building would

be deprived in part of their view and light.
