(k) Portions of the existing/new footpaths and islands on Connaught Road Central at Pottinger Street, will be closed at ground level and occupied by columns, staircase and escalator of the new footbridge at Pottinger Street. These portions of footpaths and islands to be closed are delineated and hatched orange on plan.
Action under sections 17 and 18 of the Ordinance will be required for the above road closures and modifications.
3. Apparatus to be altered or diverted
The existing services and utilities such as gas mains, electric cables and ducts, telephone cables and ducts, and telecommunication cables and ducts lying within the limits of the works areas or adjacent thereto may require removal or repositioning in the course of carrying out the said works. Further notices, setting out the manner in which such services and utilities will be removed or repositioned, may be issued under section 20 of the Ordinance as the when required.
4. Projections and obstructions to be removed
For the purpose of and/or incidental. to the said works, it will be necessary to remove the following projections and obstructions :-

the betting centre on the east side of the north ramp to the Star Ferry Subway This betting centre to be removed is delineated and hatched blue on the Plan;
the pilecaps and piles of the central support to the footbridge across Connaught Road Central at Fedder Street - This pilecap to be removed is delineated and hatched brown on the Plan. New Foundation to the said support of the footbridge will be provided and incorported in the underpass construction, as shown in the cross-section A-A on Drawing No. HH5190 (the Drawing);
(c) a section of canopy projecting out of Wing on House -
This section of canopy to be removed is delineated and hatched green on the Plan and on the cross section D-D on the Drawing.
Action under section 21 of the Ordinance may be required for these purposes.
