IAEA: CONVENTION ON EARLY NOTIFICATION OF A NUCLEAR ACCIDENT

1 The People's Republic of China, like other nuclear States, announced on signing the above mentioned Convention on
26 September that it would notify on a voluntary basis nuclear accidents other than those specified in Article I of the Convention. The PRC have now confirmed this in writing to the IAEA who have in turn notified all Convention signatories. I enclose a copy of the IAEA's circular note.
