Re: Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant
May we present a copy of the letter which Friends of the Earth (Hong Kong) has today sent to Vice-Premier Li Peng, together with a copy of the resolution on Daya Bay which was passed recently by Friends of the Earth International.
May we further take this opportunity to express our dismay at Britain's participation in the Daya Bay project which, if it proceeds to completion, will gravely endanger the lives of Hong Kong's 5.5 million citizens.
We would urge you to use your influence to persuade GEC to withdraw from the project.
