according to what
to what were stipulated in the contracts entered into by GNPJVC and the foreign companies concerned. Requirements on the qualification, age, working experience and fluency in foreign
languages, etc. of the managerial, operational and maintenance
staff have all been laid down. Prior to the completion of the Guangdong Nuclear
Nuclear Power Plant
Plant (i.e. the Daya Bay Plant), staff training will be conducted on three levels in accordance with the
duties of the posts : key staff will receive top level training
in Europe they are mainly the officers-in-charge and management
staff such as the chief duty officier, deputy duty officer and
chief operators of the control room; second level training will
be mainly for the assistant operators of the control room and
on-site operators; third level training will be mainly for the
-
technical staff and other workers of the Plant.
Furthermore, the Guangdong Nuclear Power Plant has a
training centre equipped with a function simulator and a
full-size simulator.
The final test for trainees must be
conducted in this simulated training centre, where the trainees
have to undergo vigorous training and examination before they are qualified for a licence issued by the Government.
Re-training of operation staff is also carried out in
the simulator centre. The simulator can simulate various
operational conditions such as normal or unususal events and accidents. Operators can thereby acquire special training for
their capability in responding to emergency situations. The management standard and the operational quality of the staff of the Daya Bay Plant can therefore be ensured.
