for personnel in nuclear science. There are over ten renowned institutes, including the Tsinghua University; Beijing
University; University of Technology; University of Communication, Shanghai; University of Communication, Xian; and
Fu-tan University. These institutes have set up special courses
on reactor engineering, equipment control, nuclear safety analysis, reactor physics, reactor heat utilization, hydraulics, etc. A large number of technical personnel have been trained by these institutes. The graduates of the 50's and 60's have now become experts and key personnel in nuclear technology. A number of our nuclear experts have been appointed as technical advisers by the International Atomic Energy Agency. The above factors have laid the foundation for development of nuclear energy in our
country.
