We have had three days of useful and fruitful meetings

We were pleased to learn of the Chinese authorites' knowledge of nuclear power development in France, USA, Japan, West Germany and other countries and close contacts with their counterparts in these countries. We became aware of their long working experience in the nuclear field, the work

done, and work planned to be done in China. Similar to all

countries we visited, the Chinese authorities' approach to

nuclear power is also to place safety and quality as top priority. They stated they would make every effort to ensure the safe design, operation and management of the Daya Bay plant to be accordance with the highest international standards. We on
