Joint Venture Company (GNPJVC) and the Hong Kong Nuclear Investment Company (HKNIC) will be jointly responsible
the management of the Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant. Throughout the whole period of the joint venture, the posts of First Deputy Chairman and First Deputy General Manager will be filled by personnels of the HKNIC.
42.
On the other hand, regarding the post of Plant Manager (entitled Head of Production Section before commissioning of the Plant), the incumbent shall be nominated by the HKNIC and
appointed by the GNPJVC in the first five years after commissioning of the Plant. In the second five years, the Deputy Plant Manager will be nominated by the HKNIC and appointed by the GNPJVC. Future arrangements will be negotiated and agreed to by
the two sides whilst the Chinese side guarantees that management personnels on the various levels will comprise staff from the two companies and
and the number of establishments, duties, quality and
qualification, etc. of the staff are all clearly stipulated in the joint venture agreement according to international standards.

It is expected that through the above arrangements the
HKNIC can maintain long-term participation in the management of the Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant.

(2) Regular Inspection and Maintenance System : We were told that in the documents provided by the construction and supplies companies of the Plant, there are stipulations concerning the regulations for the operation, regular inspection and maintenance system of the Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant. The
Plant will carry out its inspections and maintenance in compliance with these regulations. The maintenance staff will be
