GENERAL OBSERVATIONS
the information provided by the French, USA, Japanese and IAEA experts during the fact-finding trips, the following observations are made :-
(1)
the PWR type reactor, as is proposed for Daya Bay, is designed and will be constructed in such a way that even in the event of a worst accident
resulting in a core melt-down, the containment building will be able to contain most of the radioactive products; (Ref: 2.1.12; 4.2.15)
