Members also discussed the suggestion of holding a special meeting of
the full Council prior to the Beijing visit to debate on the issue.
Most Members felt that it would not be constructive atthis time to hold
a special meeting, We feel that the interest of the people of Hong Kong will be better served by the early release of the printed version of the Report so that the public can give their views on the Report in order to help the Leg Co fact-finding delegations while they visit Beijing.
