The provision of nuclear energy to mankind has its challenges and dangers but they can and will be met. The eradication of nuclear
energy has dangers that cannot be met. The third world could not enhance its living standards. The developed world would plunge to lower living standards. If we care about the standards of living of
generations yet to come we must meet the challenges of the nuclear
age and not retreat in to the irresponsible course of leaving our children and grandchildren a world in deep and probably irreversible
decline.
