COMMUNICATION FROM THE DELEGATION OF HONG KONG
The Chairman of the Committee has received the following communication from the Permanent Representative of Hong Kong to the GATT, by letter dated 28 April 1986.
I have the honour to refer to the communication from the Permanent Representative of the United Kingdom sent to the Director-General on 17 December 1979 accepting on behalf of Hong Kong the Agreement on Government Procurement, done at Geneva on 12 April 1979; and to the communication delivered to the GATT secretariat on 23 April 1986 by the Permanent Representative of the United Kingdom declaring that Hong Kong will, with effect from that date, be deemed to be a Contracting Party to the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade in accordance with the provisions of Article XXVI (5) (c) thereof.
I have been instructed to inform you that Hong Kong will continue to accept the Agreement on Government Procurement and will continue to participate in the work of the Committee on Government Procurement.
