MTN CODES:

Poland became a signatory to the Antidumping Code on June 33, 1981 and the Polish delegation plays an active role in the Antidumping Code Committee's work. At the Committee's April 1985 meeting, Poland announced that it had introduced antidumping legislation.

Poland is also a member of the MTN Arrangements on Bovine Meat (since February 1982) and Dairy (since April 1982). Poland is an observer in the Standards, Subsidies, Valuation, Licensing and Civil Aircraft Committees.

BILATERAL TRADE AGREEMENTS:

From a practical standpoint, the only significant bilateral trade agreements in force between the U.S. and Poland are those addressed to limiting Polish exports to the United States [1983 Specialty Steel; 1984 Textiles and Textile Products].

Periodically, bilateral consultations are held under the auspices of the U.S.-Polish Joint Economic Commission.
