Paragraphs 6.68 6.79 The funding arrangements of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council
The Secretary for Trade and Industry will continue to play an active role in the examination of the Trade Development Council's estimates, accounts and reports of activities in accordance with Part VI of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council Ordinance (Chapter 1114). At the request of the Administration, the Trade Development Council has commissioned an independent consultancy firm to conduct a comprehensive review of the pay and remuneration levels for the Council's staff. The terms of reference of this study include a comparison of the remuneration package for staff of the Trade Development Council with equivalent ranks in
in the civil service and the private sector. The study has just commenced and is scheduled for completion by mid-1986.

Paragraphs 6.80 - 6.88 Implementation of the Government's policy for reducing traffic congestion

The Working Group on Parking Standards of the Planning Standards Sub-Committee is currently reviewing parking standards.
A working group has been set up to review the present policy towards the licensing of taxis with a view to making recommendations on what the future licensing policy should be. It is intended that the recommendations will be submitted to the Executive Council in July 1986.
