During his recent visit to Hong Kong Mr Morrison spoke

to the Governor about what he described as "FCO efforts to

dissuade the DTI from attracting Hong Kong business and investment to the UK. He said he saw no harm in attracting to the UK Hong Kong investors who were anyway planning to invest in Europe or in giving British passports to those who by investment in the UK created jobs.
