To assist in our own forward planning for

JLG IV we have prepared the following two papers copies of which I enclose for your information -

Flow charts on agenda preparation

and administrative arrangements.

Summary of expert exchanges anticipated before JLG IV.

The timings shown in the flow charts are meant

to give an idea of the latest dates by which the relevant item of action should be completed. The views on expert meetings and in particular on the composition of teams are preliminary only, but I thought it would be useful to check that we are all thinking along the same lines at this early stage. We shall be sending you some thoughts on potential JLG agenda items by telegram within the next two weeks.

On a point of administrative detail, in view of the clash with the royal wedding, it might be prudent to make provisional hotel bookings in London for members of the British team well in advance. We envisage that, in addition to John Boyd, Fred Burrows and myself, we shall need the same line-up of experts as at JLG III i.e. Gerry Higginson, Peter Chan and Alan Carter.
