Public telephones situated throughout the building. Churchill Auditorium main doors lead into Sanctuary and West Foyers. The auditorium floor is gently raked with no fixed seating. Linked to ground floor by nine lifts (throughout the building) and a main staircase. Press Suite has direct access by stair up to Caxton Lounge. Telex room. paper reproduction room and distribution counter.
Second Floor
Caxton Lounge with direct access by stair down to Press Suite; fitted with bar. Restaurant and refreshment area. Four radio broadcasting rooms. Direct stair access up to Benjamin Britten Lounge.
Third Floor
Fleming and Whittle Rooms divided by soundproofed doors; the floor is level in both rooms and the seating is variable. Projection/Engineers' room. Abbey Dining Room on mezzanine has direct access by stair to Benjamin Britten Lounge which enjoys views of Westminster Abbey and Parliament. Henry Moore and Rutherford Rooms can be used independently or with their own suite of four rooms.
Fourth Floor
Open plan secretariat/office area with separate integral lounge. 23 delegate and 9 secretariat rooms - all interchangeable; these rooms can be hired as a whole suite or individually. Paper reproduction (off-set litho) and photocopying room. Views of internal courtyard and garden area from four sides.
Fifth Floor
Suite of ten rooms hired individually or as a suite. Views of internal courtyard and
garden. Linked through to the ground floor by 9 lifts.
