Protocol Department ask Post for guidance on gifts and, following consultation with Geographical Departments and PS, purchase appropriate items.
The entertainment portion of a Head of Post's frais is calculated to include provision for receptions, dinners etc held within the host country during visits by Ministers and other officials.
