There will be occasions when the Social Secretary is unable to undertake all the arrangements for a function paid for by the FCO. Most functions hosted by a minister at a government venue will be arranged by the Social Secretary. If DUSAUSS, or Head of Dept host a function at an hotel or restaurant the depart- ment will usually make all arrangements. However the Social Secretary will always be happy to answer any queries or advise in any way.
