Philip Baker of the Law Department at SOAS mentioned to me the other day that the department was expecting a visit by Professor Rui Mu in October or thereabouts. Rui (now aged 78) is an international lawyer, professor at Peking University and a member of the Basic Law Drafting Committee for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
2. I don't have details of Rui's programme but could try to obtain them from Philip Baker if you wish. In case you should wish to contact Philip Baker yourself, his telephone number at SOAS is 637 2388 ext 549 (and at home 202 9276).
