(a) The Senate. 11 members, 5 of whom

appointed on the advice of the Premier, 3 on the advice of the Leader of the Opposition, 3 by the Governor acting in his discretion.

(b) House of Assembly. 40 elected members. Speaker and Deputy Speaker elected.

Legislative Council. Speaker, one ex-officio member (Attorney-General), and 9 elected members. Provision for appointment by the Governor of a Leader of the Opposition.

Legislative Assembly. Governor, 3 official members and 12 elected members.

Legislative Council. Speaker 6 elected

members, 2 ex-officio members and 1-2 nominated members (one on advice of Chief Minister and the other after consultation with the Chief Minister).
