I attach a report for the quarter ending 30 September
Briefly, during the quarter:
(a)
Tables 1 and 2
The number of PRC officials employed by PRC enterprises in Hong Kong increased from 3,130 to 3,289 at the end of June 1986. The total number of PRC officials in Hong Kong (including those in employment, under training or on temporary stay) increased from 4,606 last quarter to 4,921
(6.83%) this quarter.

Of the major Chinese organisations, Xinhua News Agency shows the largest increase of 29 staff (8.4%). China Resources has decreased its staff appointed from China by 100 (11.8%).
