An Ordinance to declare 22 October 1986 to be a public holiday.

[27 June 1986]

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the

Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Public Holiday (Royal Visit) Ordinance Short title. 1986.

2.

The 22nd day of October 1986 shall be-

22 October 1986 to be a general

(a) a general holiday as defined in, and for the purposes of, the Holidays and statutory

Ordinance;

holiday.

(Cap. 149.) (b) a statutory holiday as defined in, and for the purposes of, the Employment

Ordinance, as if specified as a holiday in section 39(1) of the Employment (Cap. 57.) Ordinance.

Passed by the Hong Kong Legislative Council this 25th day of June 1986.
